  Kenneth O. Johnson, Sr. LEBANON Kenneth O. Johnson, Sr., 85, died Saturday, 
  April 17, 2010, in the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was the husband of 
  Kathleen J. Lawson Johnson. He was born September 25, 1924, in Lebanon, a son 
  of the late John L. and Tillie Hilton Johnson. He was a nurse's aid, retiring 
  after 30 years at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was a U.S. Army veteran, 
  serving during World War II, and was a recipient of the Bronze Star for 
  bravery. He delivered messages through heavy enemy attack, saving his whole 
  battalion. He also received the Sharpshooter Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He 
  was a member of the Lebanon American Legion and Mt. Zion Fire Company. He 
  enjoyed working in his flower garden, playing cards, and was an avid Phillies 
  fan. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are children, Carl R. Johnson, Kenneth 
  O. Johnson, Jr. and wife, Louise, Debra A. Care, and Brian K. Kreiser, all of 
  Lebanon; several grandchildren and greatgrandchildren; and brother, William A. 
  Johnson of Lebanon. He was preceded in death by brothers, Ellwood, John, and 
  William W. Johnson; and sisters, Doris Binner and Helen Becker. Funeral service 
  will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Rohland Funeral Home, 508 
  Cumberland St., Lebanon, with a viewing beginning on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. 
  Interment will be made in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of 
  flowers, contributions may be made to the GSH Hospice, 202 Hathaway Park, 
  Lebanon, PA 17042.
