  Marie J. Johnson 
  
  LEBANON Marie Jennet Johnson passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2010. Born 
  Marie Rehrig, on July 5, 1916, in Freeland, she graduated from Freeland High 
  School. She married William Kenneth Johnson of Freeland on November 27, 1935. 
  The happy couple spent their early years living and working in Detroit, Mich., 
  but later moved to Lebanon to raise a family and build a permanent home. Marie 
  took great pride as a housewife and raising two sons, Ronald (living in 
  Richland) and William (living in Bloomsburg). She did volunteer work for her 
  church, St. James Lutheran Church, the Retired United Steelworkers, and the 
  Good Samaritan Hospital. She was a long time member of the Eastern Star. Marie 
  loved to spend time with her grandchildren, Matthew, Laura, John, Ken, and 
  Rhonda. She considered it fortunate to boast six great-grandchildren. Marie was 
  preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth, and her two sisters, Arlene and 
  Lucille. As a Christian we are confident that Marie lives on in Paradise with 
  her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. A private burial will be held at the 
  Freeland Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been 
  entrusted to the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, Inc.
