Kapp, 90, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 6, 2010, at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. He was married for 56 years to the late Francis Short Kapp. He was born on January 22, 1920, in Lebanon, and was the son of Naomi and Lloyd H. Kapp. He retired from Cornwall Ore Mines in 1957 after 29 years of service. He also worked for the railroads. He was a WWII veteran serving in the Pacific in the Philippine CC Camp. He was a member of the American Legion. He was a kind and loving man who will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Surviving are son, Lloyd Kapp of Lebanon; daughter, Sallie, wife of Timothy Shreiner of Lititz; grandson, Michael Kapp of Cleona, whom he raised; six grandchildren; and seven great- grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Eileen Pinky Rulavage; and brothers, Arthur, Frederick, Melvin, LeRoy, Vernal, and Harold. Viewing will be on Friday, May 14, 2010, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland St., Lebanon. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, following the service with military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society , 526 Cumberland St., Lebanon, PA 17042 c/o Relay For Life .
