Kercher LEBANON Chester Earl Kercher, 84, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2010, in Cedar Haven Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Ellen J. Kercher. Born in Lebanon, he was a son of the late Earl and Rhoda Smith Kercher. Mr. Kercher retired from Bethlehem Steel and Foodland Stores. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during WWII. Surviving are his sons, Chester Jr., husband of Janell Kercher of Mesa, Ariz., Joseph, husband of Loretta Keener of Lebanon, Bruce Kercher of Lebanon, Scott Kercher of Lebanon, Michael Kercher of Lebanon; daughters, Stephanie Ann, wife of Tom Sheetz of Annville, and Brenda Weiant of Lebanon; brothers, Glenn Kercher of Lebanon, Frederick Kercher of Virginia, and Donald Kercher of Lebanon; sisters, Doris, wife of Paul Wise of Lebanon, and Shirley, wife of Thomas Daub of Palmyra; several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 20, at 10 a.m. in the Rohland Funeral Home, Inc., 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, 17042. A visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of the service in the funeral home. Interment will be in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Chester's memory to Cedar Haven, 590 S. 5th Ave., Lebanon, PA 17042.
