  Shirley Kessler HARRISBURG Shirley Kessler, 91, The Residence at the Jewish 
  Home of Greater Harrisburg and formerly of Lebanon, died Sunday, April 18, 
  2010, in the Harrisburg Hospital. She was the wife of the late Louis Kessler. 
  She was born in Brooklyn N.Y., one of six children to Yecheskel and Esther 
  Saroff. She had been an active member of Congregation Beth Israel, Lebanon and 
  a former member of Temple Beth El, Harrisburg. She was a member and past 
  president of Hadassah and the Sisterhood at Congregation Beth Israel. She was a 
  member of the Region Board of the American Heart Assoc., a volunteer at Lebanon 
  Good Samaritan Hospital for over 20 years and a member of the Auxiliary of the 
  Jewish War Veterans. Surviving are a son, Chet Kessler MD and wife Deborah, 
  Reston VA; daughter, Gayle wife of Barry Benn DDS, San Diego, Calif.; five 
  granddaughters; and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services Tuesday at 1:30 
  p.m. Rohland Funeral Home, Inc, 508 Cumberland St, Lebanon. Interment Beth 
  Israel Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to The Residence at the 
  Jewish Home of Greater Harrisburg, 4004 Linglestown Rd, Harrisburg 17112; or 
  The American Heart Assoc., P.O. Box 1263, Lebanon 17042.
