Kirkessner, Jr., 76, peacefully entered into heaven from his home on Wednesday, September 8, 2010. He was born November 17, 1933, to the late Andrew C. and Catherine S. (Garnet) Kirkessner, Sr. of Lebanon. Andrew was a devoted member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Annville and a praying member of the Legion of Mary. He was a 1951 graduate of Lebanon Catholic H.S. and a U.S. Army Veteran. He retired from Sowers Printing in Lebanon. Andrew had a special love for his family. He enjoyed woodworking, building a model train display, gardening, wine making, and traveling. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Margaret M. (Arnold), with whom he would have celebrated 51 years of marriage on September 12, 2010. He is also survived by two daughters: Beth Ann Reddinger and husband, Allen, their two sons, Jonathan M. and his wife, Elizabeth, and son, Brayden, and Christopher A. and his wife Megan, and their son, Dylan, all of Lebanon; daughter, Suzanne M. (Brown) Althouse and husband, Kenneth, and their sons, Troy M. Englehart II and Harrison R. Brown, and stepsons, Dawson and Gavin Althouse, all of Harrisburg. He is also survived by a sister, Sr. Geraldine Kirkessner, OLVM; a brother, James Kirkessner and his wife, Margaret of Lancaster; and a large number of nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass 11 a.m. Monday, September 13, at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 125 S. Spruce St., Annville 17003. Viewing hours Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon 17042, and Monday morning from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Good Samaritan Hospice, 202 Hathaway Park, Lebanon, PA 17042; or St. Paul the Apostle Church.
