Koch PALMYRA Kermit Victor Koch, 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 22, 2010, at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. He was predeceased by his wife Arlene (Yingst) Koch in 2001. He was born Monday, December 22, 1919, in Penbrook to, the late Harry Victor and Anna Margaretta (McGuire) Koch. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, having served during WWII. He worked in procurement at Olmsted Air Force Base and later at the Mechanicsburg Navy Depot. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Brownstone Lodge No.666 F. & A.M., and Sojourners Club of Hershey. He is survived by a daughter, Linda M. Weigle and husband, John B., Jr. of Hummelstown; a granddaughter, Nicole L. (Weigle) Hash and husband, J. David of Palmyra; a brother, Richard H. Koch and wife, Ruth of Elizabethtown; a sister, Gene (Koch) Black of San Diego, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth V. Koch; two sisters, Eleanore Koch who died in infancy and Thelma (Koch) Miller. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:15 a.m. at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078, with the Rev. Richard A. Clark officiating. Masonic Services by Brownstone Lodge No.666 will be conducted at 10 a.m. Family and friends are invited for viewing from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial with full military honors will follow in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to Bethany United Methodist Church, 20 E. Cherry St., Palmyra, PA 17078.
