Koehler, 81, died Tuesday, September 28, 2010, in his residence. He was the husband of Dorothy I. Zartman Koehler, who died July 14, 2010. He was born October 12, 1928, in Lebanon, a son of the late Harry and Edith Koehler. He retired from Truck Stops of America in Linglestown, in 1991 and was former owner of pool rooms in Lebanon from 1953 to 1975. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He loved to shoot pool and was an avid reader and sports fan. He especially followed the baseball team the St. Louis Cardinals and the football team the Cleveland Browns. He was a member of the Annville American Legion, Loyal Order of the Moose and formerly visited social clubs in the city of Lebanon. Richard is survived by his son, Ronald Koehler of Fredericksburg and a brother, Luther Koehler of Avon. He was preceded in death by sisters, Margaret Koehler Shott and Bette Koehler Fisher. Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 2, 2010, at 10 a.m. in the Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, with a viewing beginning on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be made in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society , P.O. Box 1274, Lebanon, PA 17042.
