Kreiser, Sr., 87, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2010, at Cedar Haven. He was the husband of Katherine J. Bates Kreiser, and on June 29, 2010, they would have celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary. Born in Green Point, on July 14, 1922, he was the son of the late Elmer and Bertha Kreiser. He retired from PennDot. He was a veteran of WWII, and was a recipient of the American Service Medal, the European- AfricanMiddle Eastern Service Medal, and the WWII Victory Medal. He attended the Moonshine United Zion Church, and the American Legion Post 0883. He was a Yankees fan, and enjoyed NASCAR and playing canasta and dominoes. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, LeRoy A. Kreiser, Jr. and his wife, Roseann of Jonestown; daughters, Barbara A., wife of William Shultz of Fredericksburg, Diana M., wife of Jeffrey Waltermyer of Jonestown, and Gail L., wife of Timothy Simpson of Lebanon; a brother, Ernest Kreiser of Mechanicsburg; sisters, Lorraine Fake of Annville, Lenore Ollar of Lebanon, and Amy Binkley of Jonestown; nine grandchildren, Derrick, Jared, and Katrina Shultz, Angela Peirce, Julie Drabenstadt, Ryan and Randy Waltermyer, and Travis and Nathan Simpson; and great-grandchildren, Hailey and Trevor Peirce, Quinn Simpson, Owen and Bryn Waltermyer, Rebecca and Riley Shultz, and Lucas Drabenstadt. He was looking forward to the addition of two more greatgrandchildren to his family this year. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ralph and Jonas Kreiser; and sisters, Louella Krissinger, Eleanor Kreiser, and Alberta Batz. The family would especially like to thank the staff and employees at Cedar Haven for their kind and compassionate care during his stay at Cedar Haven. Viewing will be held on Monday, January 11, 2010, at 10 a.m. at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Rt. 72 and Camp Meeting Road, Jonestown. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Grand View Memorial Park, N. Annville Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his church, c/o Mr. John Long, 164 Ridge Road, Jonestown, PA 17038; or to the ALS Assoc., 321 Norristown Road, Ambler, PA 19002.
