"Bub or Vickie" Kushmanick, 73, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2010, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Fearnot, Schuylkill County, on May 23, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Levi and Frances Long Miller. She was employed as a cook and waitress for several local restaurants including Vickie's Restaurant on Route 22 in the 1970's. She also owned and operated The Fredericksburg Diner in the early 1980's. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and sewing many items for her family. Many Saturday mornings she could be found at yard sales or tending her large flower beds. Her favorite pastimes were spending time with her family and having dinner with friends. She is survived by her long time companion, Donald L. Fortna of Jonestown; sons, Alfred L. Mohn, Jr. and his wife, Debra of Temple, and Anthony J. Kushmanick, III of Jonestown; daughters, Bonnie L. Keys of Halifax, Brenda K. Bingaman of Millersburg, Debby L. Ebur of Etters, Alfreda L. Price of Reading, and Antoinette Houser of Reading; three brothers; eight sisters; 17 grandchildren; and 18 greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister.
