M. shabodeho@aol.com May 25, 2010, 2:39 pm Published in Lebanon Daily News on May 25, 2010 Rosa Leach Rosa Leach LEBANON Rosa Leach, 83, died Friday, May 21, 2010, in the Thomas Jefferson Hospital, Philadelphia. She was born in Lebanon, on February 23, 1927, daughter of the late Timothy R. and Carrie Neely Bates. She formerly worked at the Quality Inn, Lebanon in housekeeping. She was a member of St. John's AME Church, Lebanon where she volunteered doing missionary work and sang in the church choir. Rosa enjoyed family luncheons, church functions, cooking, crossword puzzles and reading her bible. She will be sadly missed and was loved by all. She is survived by her daughters, Claudia Scott, Philadelphia, and Carrie Parrott, Greensboro, N.C.; 12 grandchildren, including Lisa Bates of whom she raised as her own; numerous great and greatgreat-grandchildren; sister, Louise Stroman, Lebanon; brother, Andrew Bates, Harrisburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Hiawatha Leach and her second husband, Alexander Davis; three brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be held on at 11 a.m. in the Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, where friends and family are invited to a viewing which will be held on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be made in Mt.
