Leffler, 81, passed away on Friday, May 28, 2010, at the Hershey Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Arthur W. Leffler and on December 18, 2010, they would have celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary. Born in Schuylkill Haven, on December 4, 1928, she was the daughter of the late George and Margaret Minnich Kramer. In her early years, she had worked as a seamstress at Ethel Maid in Schuylkill Haven. After getting married, she gave up her sewing machine to become a homemaker. In the first 20 years of their marriage, Elsie had many wonderful adventures in several different countries while her husband was serving our country in the United States Army. She was a member of the Kochenderfer's United Methodist Church. Elsie enjoyed gardening, puzzles, sewing many items for her family, and especially babysitting her grandchildren when they were growing up. Practically every day in the Spring, you would find her planting and tending their beautiful flower gardens. She loved visiting the area nurseries trying to find unique plants to add to her flower beds. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Karen F.L. wife of Dennis Williams and Karla M. wife of Michael Nicholas both of Lebanon; sisters, Mary Zechman of Bradenton, Fla., and Erma Pickering of Altamont Springs, Fla.; and grandchildren, Jenna Grimes, Lindsay Nicholas, Daniel Nicholas and Alec Williams. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Wilson and Floyd Kramer; and sisters, Fay Young and Ruth Kramer. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Rt. 72 & Camp Meeting Rd., Jonestown. Viewing will be held on Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
