Miller shabodeho@aol.com April 29, 2010, 10:57 pm Published in Lebanon Daily News on April 28, 2010 Edith Mae (Wenger) Lehman Edith Mae Lehman PALMYRA Edith Mae (Wenger) Lehman, 78, died Monday, April 26, 2010, in the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. Born May 1, 193,1 in West Cocalico Township, Lancaster County, she was a daughter of the late David and Margaret (Miller) Wenger and was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Julie Lehman, and a brother, Jay Irvin Wenger. She and her husband of 61 years, Earl R. Lehman, operated Lehman's Vegetable and Dairy Farm on Gravel Hill Road, Palmyra, for over 30 years. A member of Farm Women Group #3 since 1972, she worked with the Fresh Air Fund for 30 years and was a member of Hershey Coin Club, Studebaker Car Club, and Historic Schaefferstown. She was very loving and active with family and friends. A friend to everyone, she enjoyed giving talks on aprons, dolls, and books to numerous groups and organizations. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are sons, Dennis Lehman of Troy, David Lehman of Palmyra, and Thomas Lehman of Annville; daughters, Donna Smith of Orem, Utah, Karen Lehman of Annville, Susan Tucker of Cornwall, and Anita Alt of Annville; brother, Robert Wenger of Lancaster; sister, Mildred Stevenson of Willow Street; 16 grandchildren; 17 greatgrandchildren; one greatgreat-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Viewing will be held 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Buse Funeral Home, 145 N. Grant St., Palmyra. Funeral services and interment in Gravel Hill Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
