'Pony' Leinthall, 96, died on Sunday, March 14, 2010, at Linden Village. He was born on Sunday, April 20, 1913, to the late Charles Alfred Harvey Leinthall and Sarah Alice (Hopple) Leinthall in East Mauck Chunk. He was a member of Quentin United Church of Christ. He enjoyed woodworking and was a 1933 graduate of the Mauck Chunk High School. He worked as Trooper. Following his retirement from the state police, he had been the security guard for 10 years for the Cornwall High School. He was a member of the Mt. Lebanon Lodge #226 F&AM; 32nd degree Mason in the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Harrisburg; member of Asa Packer Mansion Museum in Jim Thorpe; Jim Thorpe Area Sports Hall of Fame; American Association of State Troopers, Inc.; Fraternal Order of Police; Retired State Police Association of PA; charter member of the PA Shield and Square Club; PA Association of Retired State Employees; and Friendship and Newmanstown Fire Companies. Surviving are daughter, Sandra K. spouse of William Dissinger, Lebanon; nine grandchildren; sister, Madaline Hodge, Jim Thorpe; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by wife, Mildred M. (Miller) Leinthall on June 30, 2003; brothers, Herbert Leinthall, Harvey Leinthall; and sisters, Marian Gardnier, Lila Walck, Gladys Ezerett. Masonic services provided by Mt. Lebanon Lodge #226 F&AM will be at 9:45 a.m. at the funeral home. Viewing will be on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland St., Lebanon. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Grand View Memorial Park, Annville, following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Harrisburg Masonic Learning Center for Children, P.O. Box 5190, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
