  John F. Lengel 
   
  John F. Lengel ROBESONIA John F Lengel, 86, died Monday, August 16, 2010, at 
  the Reading Hospital & Medical Center. He was the husband of Pauline C. 
  (Shanfelder) Lengel, who died March 23, 2005. Born in Tulpehocken Township, he 
  was the son of the late Walter E. and Phoebe (Reber) Lengel. He was a member of 
  Zion Lutheran Church in Womelsdorf. He belonged to the Womelsdorf Rod and Gun 
  Club, Newmanstown Athletic Club, Womelsdorf Vol. Fire Co., Williamson Lodge 
  #307, Rajah Shrine, Conrad Weiser Rotary Club, and Womelsdorf VFW. He was an 
  Army Air Force veteran, having served in WWII. After his discharge he was 
  employed as an airplane mechanic at the Middletown and Dover, Del., Air Force 
  Bases. He was founder and owner of John F. Lengel, Inc. in 1954 until retiring 
  in 1985. He is survived by a son, Peter Lengel, husband of Rhonda Sue (nee 
  Ressler) of Robesonia; a granddaughter, Amanda Lengel of Robesonia; and a 
  sister, Margaret Berger of Wernersville. Two brothers, Warren and Ralph Lengel, 
  predeceased him. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lamm & Witman 
  Funeral Home, Wernersville, with his pastors, the Rev. Tomas H. Reinsel and the 
  Rev. J. Robert Kehrli officiating. Friends are invited to call from 9:30 to 11 
  a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran & Reformed Cemetery, 
  Womelsdorf. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Zion 
  Lutheran Church, Womelsdorf, PA 19567.
