Leverett LEBANON Frances Marie Leverett, formerly of Santa Maria, Calif., died Monday, April 12, 2010, in her home in Lebanon at the age of 88. She was born in Denver, Colo., on July 16, 1921, and married in 1941. She was the wife of Howard W. Leverett, with whom she would have celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary this year. Marie worked for Allan Hancock College as Secretary to the Vice President until retirement. Prior to that she worked in the field of mental health. She loved the Lord and had a compassionate heart which was expressed through her many areas of serving others. She worked alongside her husband Howard who served as Pastor for 26 years in Santa Maria at the First Church of God (Anderson, Ind.). They moved to Lebanon seven years ago to be close to their youngest daughter, Marva, and her husband, Ralph Rhode. They resided at Hearthstone Manor Independent Living for several years until they were no longer able to care for themselves and have resided with the Rhode's for the past three years. In addition to her husband and daughter, she is survived by a daughter, Sharon, wife of Glen Unger of Cranbrook, British Columbia; granddaughters, Michelle, wife of Jason Allen of Lebanon, and Angela Rhode of Lebanon; grandson, Jeffrey Dodge of Eugene, Ore.; greatgrandchildren, Benjamin Allen, Colton Allen, and Jayden Dodge; stepgranddaughters, Debbie Crasweller of Eureka, Calif., and Jennifer Patzer of Calgary, Alberta; and sisters, Clare Foster and Virginia Kuehne, both of Denver, Colo. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard and Al Parker; and her grandson, Shelby Dodge, who died at the age of 26 and is buried in Santa Maria, Calif. Her family is grateful for the wonderful caregivers, Linda Artz, Karen Simpson, and Julie Leibich, close friends of the family, as well as Erica, Linda, and the other wonderful staff members from Pinnacle Health Hospice who allowed Mrs. Leverett to remain at home. There will be a viewing at 10 a.m. Monday, April 19, in the Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, 17042 with a funeral to follow at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be in the National Cemetery at Indiantown Gap at 1 p.m., as Howard served in the military in World War II. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Calvary Chapel Lebanon, 9 S. 9th St., Lebanon, PA 17042; or to Pinnacle Health Hospice, 2645 N. Third St., Suite 300, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
