  MOUNT GRETNA David M. Long, 82, died Wednesday, December 8, 2010, at his home. 
  Born December 7, 1928, in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Abram M. and 
  A. Eleanor (Rich) Long. A graduate of Lebanon Valley College and Temple 
  University, he retired from the United States Marine Corps, was an 
  administrator at Gettysburg and Lebanon Valley Colleges, and director of 
  Development of the State Easter Seal Society. He was president for the Mount 
  Gretna Board of Managers and was actively involved in Mount Gretna Art Show and 
  Music at Gretna. The Mayor of Mount Gretna, he also served on the Mount Gretna 
  Fire Company and as an Emergency Medical Technician with Lawn Fire Company 
  ambulance. Surviving are his wife, Barbara (Hupp) Whitson Long; two sons, two 
  daughters, eight grandchildren, a sister, and a nephew. A funeral service will 
  be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Buse Funeral Home, 145 N. Grant St., Palmyra. 
  Viewings will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, both at 
  the funeral home. Interment with military honors will be in Mount Annville 
  Cemetery, Annville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to World 
  Harvest Mission (for Bob and Mim Phillips), 101 West Ave., Suite 305, 
  Jenkintown, PA 19046; or to Susquehanna Valley Pregnancy Services, P.O. Box 
  707, Lebanon, PA 17042; or to Mission Imperative, 411 Darlington Ave., 
  Jonestown, PA 17038.
