M. shabodeho@aol.com April 13, 2010, 8:56 pm Published in Lebanon Daily News on April 13, 2010 Elva Lorah Elva Lorah MANHEIM Elva Lorah, 85, formerly of Denver, died April 12, 2010, in Pleasant View Retirement Community, Manheim. Born in Union Grove, a daughter of Clarence and Sarah (Moore) Renninger, her husband, Robert E. Lorah, died August 9, 2002. Elva worked at Bernstein's, Terre Hill; Ix Silk Mill, New Holland; Tom's Bakery, Bowmansville; and earlier with her father's butcher stands at Reading and Kissinger's Market. She attended services at Pleasant View Chapel and enjoyed singing with their volunteer choir. A member of the Red Hat Society, she also enjoyed embroidering, quilting and reading. Surviving are daughters, Joan D. (Gerald W.) Martin, Lebanon, and Barbara A. Lehman, Brickerville; granddaughter, Megan Lehman; and a brother, Arthur L. (Barbara Duttry) Renninger, Terre Hill. She was also predeceased by sons, Richard G. and Eugene R. Lorah; grandson, Nathan E. Martin; and siblings, Raymond, Earl and Kathryn Renninger. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at Good Funeral Home, Reamstown. Burial will be in Muddy Creek Cemetery. Viewings will be Thursday, 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Pleasant View Ret.
