Luckenbill, 83, of StoneRidge Village-Poplar Run, Myerstown, formerly of Pine Grove, died Monday, December 20, 2010, while visiting her daughter in Stuarts Draft, Va. She was the wife of Homer F. Luckenbill, Jr. who died March 31, 2006. Born in Pottsville, on April 12, 1927, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Annetta (Borchers) Allison. She was a 1945 graduate of Cressona High School and had been employed in the cafeteria of the Pine Grove Middle School for many years. Prior to working in the school cafeteria, she worked in numerous garment factories in the Pine Grove area. She was a member of Bethesda ECC at Reedsville, Schuylkill Haven, where she had been an Honor Roll member, adult Sunday School teacher and class leader and sang in the church choir for many years. She was active in the Schuylkill County Christian Womens Club; a longtime Child Evangelism teacher in Schuylkill County and had been a Girl Scout leader in Pine Grove for many years. She is survived by daughters, Deanna wife of Rev. Keith Miller of Myerstown, Janet wife of Rev. Bruce Hankee of Stuarts Draft, Virginia and Nancy wife of Eric Fritz of Kingsport, Tennessee; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, William husband of Catherine Allison of Lebanon; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 27, 2010, at 11 a.m. from Bethesda ECC at Reedsville, Schuylkill Haven. Viewing Monday at 10 a.m. at the church. Interment at Reedsville Cemetery, Schuylkill Haven. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Schuylkill Haven Child Evangelism, 1673 Long Run Road, Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972; or the 'Memorial Fund' of Bethesda ECC at Reedsville, 155 Reedsville Road, Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972.
