Lytle, 82, passed away quietly on Thursday, October 21, 2010, in the benevolent and compassionate care of Hospice and the Hyman S. Caplan Pavilion of The Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon. She was the loving wife of 60 years and widow of John B. Lytle, Sr., who died on December 7th, 2007. She was predeceased by a brother, Russell Eckert; and a sister, Christine Fox. Geraldine was born January 4, 1928, in Lebanon, the daughter of the late Paul and Ruth (Boyer) Eckert. She was a 1946 graduate of Lebanon High School. She retired from the Lebanon VA Medical Center, and was a member of First Evangelical Congregational Church, Palmyra, and the Lebanon Lunch Bunch. She was and avid reader, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She resided in California with her husband and family for many years before returning to Pennsylvania. She is survived by her four devoted and loving children, sons, John Jr. husband of Laura of Jonestown; Paul husband of Patty, Annville; George husband of Connie, Manheim; and daughter Barbara Grabusky of Palmyra. She is also survived by seven adoring grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service to celebrate Geraldine's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 18, 2010, immediately followed by a luncheon, at her church, First Evangelical Congregational Church, 55 W. Main St., Palmyra. The Service will be preceded by a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment will be at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Geraldine's memory be made to the First Evangelical Congregational Church, 55 W. Main St., Palmyra, PA 17078.
