M. shabodeho@aol.com January 4, 2011, 8:07 pm Published in Lebanon Daily News on December 28, 2010 Michael Maransky LEBANON Michael Maransky, 101, died Sunday, December 26, 2010, in the Lebanon Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of Jean M. Lauer Maransky, Lebanon. He was born in Philadelphia on December 20, 1909, a son of the late John and Vida Prodanov Maransky. He was retired from the Bethlehem Steel Company and had served his country during WWII in the Army Air Corps. He was a member of the Holy Resurrection of Christ Serbian Orthodox Church; and was also a member of the Lebanon Elks Lodge #31 BPOE; Lebanon American Legion and the Friendship Fire Company. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister, Olga wife of Jesse Gettle, Dothan, AL.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brother, William "Brownie" Maransky; sisters, Mitzi Maransky, Kathryn Uhrich; and step-daughters, Cheryl and Carol Boltz. Funeral services will be Thursday 11 a.m. from the Holy Resurrection of Christ Serbian Orthodox Church, 122, E. Weidman St., Lebanon, PA 17046. Viewing will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Rohland Funeral Home, 5th & Cumberland Sts., Lebanon. Interment will be made in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
