  Ray R. Matthew GRILL Ray R. Matthew, 81, died Monday, May 3, 2010, in Reading 
  Hospital, where he was a patient since Saturday night. He was the husband of 
  Janice S. (Shott) Matthew. Born in Lebanon, he was a son of the late John H. 
  and Verdie (Hartman) Matthew. He was the Advertising Director for the Reading 
  Eagle for 29 years, retiring in 1994. He was an Army veteran in the Korean War. 
  He was a member of Christ (Yocom's) Lutheran Church, Grill. Ray was a 1946 
  graduate of Lebanon H.S., Past President of Cumru Lions Club, and was a Melvin 
  Jones Award recipient. He was a member of IAMA, PNPA, and chapter chair for the 
  Berks County Chapter American Diabetes Assn. He played saxophone and clarinet 
  and had his own band "Esquire", playing in Lebanon, Lancaster, and Harrisburg 
  areas. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Kerry R., husband of 
  Alison Matthew of Clinton, Mass.; two daughters, Heidi J. Matthew of Boxboro, 
  Mass., and Diane E. Matthew Brown, wife of Lewis Brown, Jr. of Charles Town, 
  W.Va.; one sister, Elizabeth Richard of Lebanon; and three grandchildren, 
  Samantha Nicole Brown, Brett Alexander Matthew, and Laura G. Matthew. Funeral 
  services will be held from Christ (Yocom's) Lutheran Church, Grill, on Saturday 
  at 10:30 a.m., with Pastor Harry J. Goos officiating. Interment with military 
  honors will be in Christ (Yocom's) Cemetery, Grill. Viewing Saturday 9:30 to 11 
  a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Christ 
  (Yocom's) Lutheran Church, 840 Philadelphia Ave., Reading (Grill), PA 19607. 
  Arrangements entrusted to the Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 
  Shillington.
