McDonaldson, 79, died Sunday, November 7, 2010, at home under the care of the Good Samaritan Hospice. Born January 12, 1931, in Hershey, she was a daughter of Paul W. and Pearl (Eisenhower) Whisler. Retiring with 40 years of service from Hershey Foods, she was a member of Chocolate Workers Union Local 464, and a 1948 graduate of Annville High School. She enjoyed traveling, her family and friends, church, and her Yorkshire Terrier Coco. A highlight of her life was when she became a member of Palmyra United Christian Church and fulfilled her lifelong desire to be baptized. Her smile will be missed. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Ralph E. McDonaldson on January 5, 2009; and siblings, Betty Ebur, Janet Hartman, Mary Devine, Fayetta Potteiger, and James Whisler. Surviving are her daughter, Barbara A., wife of Richard Leibfried of Palmyra; brothers, William Whisler of Buena Park, California and Daryl Whisler of Lebanon; grandsons, William, husband of Margaret Stump of Lebanon and Staff Sgt. Frank E., husband of Dawn Stump of Okinawa, Japan; step-granddaughters, Tamara Leibfried of Palmyra, Kathleen, wife of John Early of Lebanon, and Beth Leibfried of Lebanon; great- grandchildren, Ashley Leibfried of Harrisburg, Laura Early, Tyler Early, and Devyn Stump all of Lebanon; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Palmyra United Christian Church, 133 North Chestnut St., Palmyra. Interment in Grand View Memorial Park, Annville. Viewings 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Buse Funeral Home, 145 N. Grant St., Palmyra and 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church.
