McFerren WEST LAWN Gloria Faye (Himmelberger) McFerren, 72, passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2010, at Manor Care Sinking Spring, where she had been a patient for two weeks. Born in Lebanon, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Eva (Banks) Himmelberger, and widow of Patrick R. McFerren, who passed away on August 22, 2006. She was a 1955 graduate of Lebanon High School, and member of Atonement Lutheran Church, Wyomissing, where she was a long time choir member. She worked for 33 years as a Special Education Instructional Assistant for the Reading School District, retiring in 2005. She was a member of the Sinking Spring chapter of T.O.P.S. She is survived by her sons, Devin P. of Sinking Spring and Michael P. of Robesonia; and five grandchildren. Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Atonement Lutheran Church, 5 Wyomissing Blvd., Wyomissing, with the Rev. Jason Lee officiating. Interment at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, at the convenience of the family. Friends will be received Tuesday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bethany Children's Home, 1863 Bethany Road, Womelsdorf, PA 19567. Bean Funeral Homes, Sinking Spring, are in charge of arrangements.
