  HERSHEY Louis Memmi, 93, passed away peacefully at home on Wednes-day, August 
  25, 2010. He was born on October 15, 1916, in Roberts-dale, the son of the late 
  Grazio and Domen-ica (Gambacorta) Memmi. Louis enlisted in the U.S. Army in 
  1942 and served with the 25th Infantry Division, 35th Infantry Regiment, "F" 
  Company. He received the Bronze Star and was honorably discharged in 1945. He 
  worked at the Hershey Hotel before and after the war. Louis and his siblings 
  owned and operated G. Memmi and Sons Bakery from 1951 to 1986. A devout 
  Catholic and member of Saint Joan of Arc Church, Hershey, Louis was also a 
  member of the Hershey Italian Lodge, the Hershey VFW, and the Hummelstown 
  American Legion. He was a former member of the Hershey Park View Golf Club. A 
  life time lover of the game of golf, Louis celebrated a hole in one at the age 
  of 90 at the Hershey Spring Creek Golf Course. He is survived by his wife, 
  Vivian M (Martin) Memmi; children, Thomas Memmi and Mary Wallace; three 
  grandchildren, Dominic, Angelina, and Martin "Fred"; his sister, Freda; and 
  many nieces and nephews. He was preceded into death by four sisters, two 
  brothers, and a nephew. Louis was from the Greatest Generation. He will be 
  missed dearly by his wife, son, daughter, and his grandchildren. We love you 
  true papa! Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, August 30, 2010, 
  at 11 a.m. in his church. There will be a viewing Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 
  a.m. in the Hoover Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. of Hershey. In lieu of 
  flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Saint Joan of Arc School, 
  329 W. Areba Ave., Hershey, PA 17033-1602.
