Mock, 88, went to his heavenly home on Monday, February 1, 2010, from his residence. He was the husband of Priscilla G. (Steiner) Mock. They celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on Christmas Day. Born in Heidelberg Township, Lebanon County, on December 31, 1921, he was the son of the late Isaac and Katie (Batzel) Mock. He spent most of his life as a dairy farmer and part owner of Valley View Dairy, Inc. After farming, he worked part time at Wenger's of Myerstown. He retired from there in 1997. He was a member of the Millcreek Lutheran Church where sang in the choir. He enjoyed hunting, gardening and watching the Phillies. All those who knew him appreciated his wit and great sense of humor. He always made everyone laugh. In addition to his wife, he was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his children, David, husband of Rachel of Myerstown, Dennis, husband of Barbara of Myerstown, Patricia, wife of Jeffrey Wolfe of Schaefferstown, and Debra, wife of Daniel Hogeland of Newmanstown; nine grandchildren; and 16 greatgrandchildren. He is also survived by brothers, Paul, husband of Eva of Palmyra, Luke, husband of Lois of Schaefferstown, Donald, husband of Anita of Myerstown, John, husband of Patricia of Lebanon; sisters, Ruth Sonnen of Richland, Martha Bennetch of Newmanstown and a brother-in-law, Carl Steiner of Steelton. He was preceded in death by sisters, Miriam Miller and Edith, wife of Edgar Zehring; and a brother, Monroe. A celebration of his life will be held at the Millcreek Lutheran Church, 221 N. Sheridan Road, Newmanstown, on Saturday with a viewing from 9 to 11 a.m. and the service at 11 a.m. Interment will immediately follow at the Schaefferstown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Millcreek Lutheran Church Special Projects Fund, 221 N. Sheridan Road, Newmanstown, PA 17073.
