Mock, 60, died Wednesday, June 16, 2010, in the Lancaster General Hospital. He was born July 23, 1949 in Lebanon, and was the son of Mary Ellen Mock Hoffa and her husband Harry of Robesonia, and the late Monroe H. Mock. He was employed for 11 years as a cabinet maker for Plain & Fancy Kitchens in Schaefferstown, and was a member of the St. Luke Lutheran Church in Schaefferstown. He was a history buff, loved music, soccer and followed NASCAR. Philip served in Vietnam with the U.S. Army as a medic where he was awarded the Purple Heart. Surviving in addition to his mother is his loving companion, Janet Zerbe of Myerstown, and her daughter, Emily Emerich and her sons, Bailey and Alex of Lancaster; sons, Philip C. Mock and his wife, Danka and Jason N. Mock, both of Milton, Del.; granddaughter,, Daphnis Mock; sister, Eileen wife of Ronald J. Ream of Myerstown; brother, Franklin Mock and his wife, Laura of West Lawn; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, 636 Morris Turnpike, Suite 3A, Short Hills, NJ 07078-9950 in Philip's memory for spinal cord injury research.
