  George I. Moyer Sr. 
  
  RICHLAND George I. Moyer, Sr., 79, of died Wednesday, November 3, 2010, at the 
  Tremont Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of Helen A. 
  (Fogelman) Moyer, who died January 25, 2003. Born in Bethel Twp., Berks Co., on 
  February 22, 1931, he was the son of the late Ralph I. and Sallie (Wartluft) 
  Moyer. He had been employed at Quaker Alloy, Myerstown, for 30 years, retiring 
  in 1993. He was a member of St. John's " Host " Church, Bernville, and was a 
  life member of the Marion Grange and Mt. Aetna Fire Co., and enjoyed farming. 
  He is survived by daughters, Betsy Moyer, wife of Mark Hoke of Fredericksburg, 
  and Lisa Brown, fiancée of Ralph Harris of Saylorsburg; sons, George Jr., 
  husband of Darlene Moyer of Haleyville, Ala., Loron Moyer of Newmanstown, and 
  Ricky Moyer of Richland; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, 
  Lillian, wife of Lloyd Rittle of Fredericksburg; brothers, Leon, husband of 
  Annie Moyer of Hamburg, and Glenn, husband of Linda Moyer of Richland; and 
  several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Kevin R. Moyer; 
  grandson, Chad Brown; great-great-granddaughter, Hayley Haines; and sisters, 
  Mabel and Pearle Moyer, Grace Achey, and Arlene Bare. Funeral services will be 
  held Tuesday, November 9, 2010, at 11 a.m. from St. John's " Host " Church, 36 
  Host Church Road, Bernville. Viewing Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Grose Funeral 
  Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, and Tuesday at 10 am. at the church. 
  Interment in the adjoining church cemetery.
