  PALMYRA Miriam A. Moyer, 87, formerly of 407 W. Maple St., wife of the late 
  Carl C. Moyer, died on Friday, August 27, 2010, at the Lebanon Valley Brethren 
  Home in Palmyra. Born April 11, 1923, in Columbia, she was the daughter of the 
  late Rev. Samuel A. and Ruth Shirey Miller. She was predeceased by sisters, 
  Charlotte, Joan, and Jean; and brothers, Newell and Samuel. She was a 1940 
  graduate of Palmyra High School and a member of Bethany United Methodist 
  Church, where she taught in the nursery and sang in the choir for many years. 
  After raising a family of five children, she was employed by the Hershey 
  Department Store, then worked for Hershey Entertainment and Resort Co. where 
  she retired as Executive Housekeeper for Hotel Hershey. She is survived by 
  children, Lois Gayman of Mechanicsburg, Rodney Moyer of Warrington, John Moyer 
  of New Hope, and James Moyer and Cynthia Burkhart of Burlington, Mass.; nine 
  grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving are two sisters, 
  Aldine Miller of Mt. Joy and Helen Yeatts of Rockwood, Tenn. Funeral services 
  will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the DiMatteo Worship Center of the 
  Lebanon Valley Brethren Home. Viewing will be from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Memorial 
  contributions may be made to the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home Good Samaritan 
  Fund, 1200 Grubb St., Palmyra, PA 17078; Hospice of Central PA, 1320 
  Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110; or Bethany United Methodist Church, 20 
  E. Cherry St., Palmyra, PA 17078. Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 
  Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
