M. shabodeho@aol.com September 17, 2010, 11:56 am Published in Lebanon Daily News on September 15, 2010 John E. Nagle PINE GROVE John E. Nagle, 99, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2010, at home. Born on February 15, 1911, in Deep Creek Valley, he was a son of the late Daniel and Jennie Shomper Nagle. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove. John worked as a miner and a farmer and was employed at Penn Dye, Pine Grove. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Mae Zerbe Nagle on July 11, 2002; two brothers, William Nagle and Arthur Nagle; and two sisters, Beulah Arroyo and Eva Lengle. Surviving are three sons, Donald and wife, Edna Nagle, Charles and wife, Kathleen Nagle and David and wife, Mary Mease all of Pine Grove; a daughter, Betty Shiley of Lakeland, Fla.; seven grandsons; 21 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Daniel Nagle of Tremont. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in the H.L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove, with Dr. Richard Schoenleber officiating. There will be a viewing on Friday from 9 a.m. until time of service at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions may be made to the St. Peter's Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 312 S. Tulpehocken St., Pine Grove, Pa. 17963, in his memory.
