(Miller) Nye, 60, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 25, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer. Kathy was born in Harrisburg, on October 10, 1949, the daughter of the late Kenneth R. Miller and Rebecca (Schreffler) Miller. She is survived by her husband, John; and sons, Ben Schwartz (Shannon), Matt Schwartz (Michelle), Todd Schwartz (Jennifer); stepson, John Nye II (Kathi); and stepdaughter, Marganne Hoffman (J.B.). She is also survived by a twin sister, Eileen Clark (Paul) of Hershey; sisters, Susan Scordo (Robert) of Harrisburg, Mary Hill (Steve) of Mechanicsburg; brothers, Kenneth Miller Jr. (Bonnie) of Camp Hill, and William Miller of Harrisburg; and several nieces and nephews. Her grandchildren are, Michael Cleland, Alysha Seiders, Tylar, Todd Jr., Nikki, and Connor Schwartz; and stepgrandchildren, Nicole and Zachary Nye, Claudia and Matthew Hoffman, and Stef and Lynn Reyes. Kathy graduated from Central Dauphin East High School and is retired from the 193rd Air Guard. She worked for the Lebanon County Treasurer's Office and was a member of the Fifth Ward Athletic Club and the Friendship Fire Company. She enjoyed reading, gardening, puzzles, travelling, spending time with family and friends and cooking and baking. Funeral services will be held on Thursday in the Rohland Funeral Home Inc., 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, at 11 a.m. where a viewing will begin at 10 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center Cancer Center or the Children's Hospital.
