Overholt, 94, Cornwall Manor, died Thursday, April 15, 2010, in the Manor. She was the wife of Maurice C. Overholt, who passed away in 2006. She was born on December 28, 1915, in Pelican Rapids, Minn., daughter of the late S.M. and Ida Thompson Stephenson. She was a 1938 graduate of the University of Minnesota and began her teaching career in Michigan, where she met her husband of 67 years. She had also been employed by the U.S. Farm & Home Administration in Minnesota and Michigan. She taught Home Economics for seven years at Middletown High School. She and her late husband had lived in Middletown for 31 years. She was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Lebanon. She is survived by children, Dr. Catherine Overholt, wife of Dr. James Austin of Boston, Mass., Judith Ann, wife of Donald G. Bachman of St. Louis, Mo., Carolyn R., wife of John Sharbaugh of Plano, Texas, Dr. Thomas C. Overholt and wife, Abby Griffin of Cornwall, Dr. David J. Overholt and wife, Nicki of Lebanon, and Rev. Dean R. Overholt and wife, Ada of Thailand; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great- great-grandson; and sisters, Ella Reigel of Olympia, Wash., and Florence Lund of Minneapolis, Minn. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jean E. Emery; brothers, Milo Stephenson and Juel Stephenson; and sister, Mae Stephenson. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 20, at 10 a.m. at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 600 S. 12th St., Lebanon, where friends will be received Tuesday beginning at 9 a.m. Interment Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to her church or HAAC Foundation. The Rohland Funeral Home, Inc., Lebanon, is in charge of the arrangements.
