  Ray T. Patrick MT. AETNA Ray T. Patrick, 85, died Thursday, June 17, 2010, at 
  the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. He was the husband of Helen I. (Sherman) 
  Patrick, who died December 15, 1991. Born in Hanoverdale, on January 6, 1925, 
  he was the son of the late Samuel and Emma (Edris) Patrick. He had been the 
  owner of Ray T. Patrick Excavating, Mt. Aetna, from 1959-1994. He served as 
  Fire Chief of the Mt. Aetna Fire Co. for 35 years; Police Chief of Bethel and 
  Tulpehocken Twp. for 30 years, retiring in 1991; and Constable of Bethel and 
  Tulpehocken Twp. for 33 years. He was a member of Little Swatara Church of the 
  Brethren, Bethel, Mt. Aetna Fire Co., and the Fraternal Order of Police. He is 
  survived by a daughter, June, wife of Ray Merkey of Mt. Aetna; and a son, 
  David, husband of Marie Patrick of Myerstown; six grandchildren; nine great-
  grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Esther Yenser of Mt. 
  Aetna; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, 
  Richard Patrick. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 24, 2010 at 11 
  a.m. from Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown. Viewing 
  Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday at 10 a.m. Interment at Frystown 
  Cemetery, Bethel Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to 
  Little Swatara Church of the Brethren, 31 Rehrersburg Road, Bethel, PA 19507.
