Pavone HERSHEY Richard "Dick" Pavone, 73, passed away on Friday, July 9, 2010, in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. Born April 2, 1937, in Hershey, he was the son of the late Herman and Elizabeth (Memmi) Pavone. Dick was a graduate of Lebanon Catholic High School Class of 1955 and served in the U.S. Army. He was self employed, working in the sporting goods and sports apparel industry. He was a member of the St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, Hershey; The Areba Club; Knights of Columbus Council #6693, Hershey; Hershey Italian Lodge and it's Bocce League; Hummelstown Field and Stream; and was the proprietor of the Honeybee Lodge. Surviving are his wife, Patricia A. (Heverling) Pavone; son, Micheal and wife, Maria Pavone of Mechanicsburg; daughter, Annmarie Pavone Durand, widow of Sebastien Durand of Camp Hill; four grandchildren, Michael Marie and Alexandra Pavone, and Sydney and Lily Durand; brother, William "Bill" Pavone and his wife, Margy of Hershey; sister, Theresa Fasnacht and her husband, Michael of Cherry Hill, N.J.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Viewing will be held on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., Hershey. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday in his church at 359 West Areba Ave., Hershey. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Lebanon. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to the M.S. Hershey Medical Center, Pediatric Cancer Research, 500 University Drive, Hershey, PA 17033; or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , Memorial & Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
