Peiffer Sr., 76, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 24, 2010, at his home. He was the husband of Martha Kreider Peiffer, with whom he would have celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on September 29, 2010. Born in Cornwall on March 7, 1934, he was the son of the late Guy and Edna Brightbill Peiffer. He was a 1952 graduate of Cornwall High School. Ammon faithfully attended Lebanon Valley Bible Church. He served in the Army as an M.P. from 1956 to 1958. Ammon and his dad worked on the Freeman Estate in Cornwall until he got his own dairy farm and farmed it until his retirement. He enjoyed watching Phillies baseball on Sunday afternoons, fishing and NASCAR racing. In addition to his wife he is survived by seven daughters, Marilyn wife of Robert Tyson of Lebanon, Carolyn Koehler of Lebanon, Kathleen wife of Lynn Ziegler of Schaefferstown, Donna wife of Leon Ziegler of Myerstown, Heidi wife of Barry Bingeman of Lebanon, Brenda wife of Allen Balmer of Lebanon and Lisa wife of Dave Ayers of Annville; a son Ammon Peiffer, Jr. and wife Brenda of Lebanon; two sisters Arlene Mase of Hershey and Linda Eckenrode of Lebanon; 24 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by infant twin brothers, Melvin and Elvin Peiffer. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. from the Lebanon Valley Bible Church 1482 Horseshoe Pike Lebanon, PA 17042. Interment will be at Grand View Memorial Park, Annville. Viewing will be on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Kreamer Funeral Home & Crematory 618 E. Main St., Annville, and from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Lebanon Valley Bible Church.
