M. shabodeho@aol.com March 9, 2010, 3:13 pm Published in Lebanon Daily News on March 8, 2010 Alexander Piecukonis Alexander Piecukonis MYERSTOWN Alexander Piecukonis, 87, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2010, at 4:30 p.m. at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of Alexander Piecukonis Sr. and Rose (Pochuts) Piecukonis. He was the widow of Elli E. (Wittmann) Piecukonis, who passed away in September of 2007. He lovingly cared for his wife during her ten year struggle with Alzheimer's Disease. He was a U.S. Army Veteran during World War II, serving as a Chief Warrant Office 3rd Class in the Pacific Theatre. He worked as a Supervisor in the Home Mortgage Dept. at Continental Bank for 25 years. He was very active and popular at Stoneridge E.C.C Retirement Village in Myerstown, where he was a resident for several years. He is survived by his daughter, Sandra Piecukonis of Reading; and a son, Bruce A. Piecukonis of King of Prussia; and two granddaughters, Dawn and Melissa; and a greatgranddaughter, Katrina. He is also survived by his loving Pekingese: To'Chi. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Stonerdige E.C.C. Retirement Village, 440 E. Lincoln Ave., Rte 422, Myerstown, with the Rev. Dana M. Logan officiating. Friends will be received Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Retirement Village. Bean Funeral Home & Crematory, Sinking Spring, are in charge of arrangements.
