  Esther M. Powell 
   
  Esther M. Powell PALMYRA Esther M. (Baum) Powell, 98, passed away peacefully on 
  Friday, May 14, 2010, at the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home. She was born Sunday, 
  August 20, 1911, in Lebanon County, to the late David A. and Lizzie E. (Wolfe) 
  Baum. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Roy James Powell, on July 28, 
  1980. She was a retired seamstress, worked 13 years for Wise Shirt Company and 
  18 years for Lebanon Shirt Company, and enjoyed quilting. She is survived by a 
  sister, Betty Kless and husbandm Robert of Lebanon; and several nieces and 
  nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Katie Boyer; a brother, Peter S. 
  Baum. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Lebanon Valley 
  Brethren Home, DiMatteo Worship Center, 1200 Grubb Road, Palmyra, PA 17078, 
  with the Reverend Dr. John D. Merkel and Chaplin Norman D. Yeater officiating. 
  Family and friends are invited for viewing from 9 a.m. until time of the 
  service. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra. Rothermel Funeral 
  Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, has been entrusted 
  with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made 
  in her honor to Palm Lutheran Church, 11 W. Cherry St., Palmyra.
