Lewis Reinhold, Jr., 88, died on Saturday, November 6, 2010, at Lebanon Valley Brethren Home where he was a resident of Leffler Care for the past four years. He was born on Friday, July 28, 1922, to F. Lewis Reinhold and Ruth B. Reinhold nee Zimmerman in Denver. He was an active member of Lebanon Church of the Brethren. He was a World War II veteran serving from 1941-45 in the Quartermaster Corps. He retired in 1984 from Peiffer's Foodland, where he was employed for 33 years and known also as "Louie the Butcher." He was a member of the Lebanon Senior Center and served as president of Lebanon Keen Age Seniors. He was a member of Gideons' International and also enjoyed bowling and golfing. He was also a volunteer fireman and member of the Rescue Hose Company No.4 in Lebanon. Surviving are wife, Ruth Reinhold nee Gassert, Palmyra; son, Bruce F. spouse of Isabel Reinhold, Lebanon; daughter, Carol A. spouse of Robert Kercher, Lebanon; grandchildren, David Reinhold, Deana Reinhold, Kenneth Kercher, Lori Kercher; great-grandchildren, Colin Kercher, Kyle Kercher; sisters, F. Rosalie Bross, Ruth L. Lewis, June L. Hood, Rhea J. Rauch. Rhona J. spouse of Raymond Stonebach; several nieces and nephews and uncles and cousins. Viewing will be on Wednesday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Lebanon Church of the Brethren, 400 Locust St., Lebanon. Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Lebanon Church of the Brethren, 400 Locust St., Lebanon, PA 17042; or Rescue Fire Company, 400 Lehman St., Lebanon, PA 17046.
