M. shabodeho@aol.com October 31, 2010, 8:18 pm Published in Lebanon Daily News on October 30, 2010 Charles Rohn CORNWALL Charles Rohn, 85, of Cornwall Manor, formerly of Nazareth, Northampton, Fairless Hills, Pittsburgh, York, and Sebring, Fla., died Tuesday, October 26, 2010, at Cornwall Manor. He was born July 26, 1924, to the late Charles and Mary Rohn in Northampton County. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church of Lebanon. He retired from Metallurgical Dept of US Steel (34 years) in Pgh. He was an Eagle Scout and remained active in Boy Scouts, Florida Hospital Auxiliary, Sebring Meals on Wheels and SHARE, Masonic Lodge Mt Olivet Chapter 704, Sebring Breakfast Lions Club and American Legion 10400. He was a WWII Veteran, Sgt. in U.S. Army 11th Airborne Division, 188th Parachute Regiment with action in Luzon, New Guinea and the Philippines. Surviving are his daughters, Debbie Monks of Arnold, Md., Kitty Miller and her husband, Ron of Jacobus; sons, Charles of Rochester, N.Y., Dale and his wife, Carol of Cockeysville, Md.; grandchildren, Daniel and Kacy Rohn, Grant and Minda Monks; great-grandchildren, Mason Monks, Lindsay Joy Monks and Colin Adam West; and sister, Helen Detwiler. He was preceded in death by wife, Mary Rohn (nee Rosko); four brothers and two sisters and a granddaughter, Caron Miller. Services will be at the convenience of the family.
