  Nicholas M. Scheer JONESTOWN Nicholas M. Scheer, 84, passed away Wednesday, 
  January 13, 2010, at the home of his granddaughter, Jennie Boyer, at 63 Camp 
  Meeting Road, Jonestown. He was the husband of Catherine "Connie" I. (Arnold) 
  Scheer, his wife of 60 years, who died in October 2008. Nicholas was born in 
  Lebanon, on March 29, 1925. He was a son of the late John and Mary (Mueller) 
  Scheer. He was a Head Maintenance Engineer at the Good Samaritan Hospital, 
  Lebanon, for 39 years, a Civil Engineer for the City of Lebanon for 19 years, 
  and was a master Electrician and Plumber. He served in the U.S. Navy during 
  WWII. He enjoyed NASCAR racing, and he was an extra in the 1943 movie, Crash-
  Dive. He was a member of Mary Gate of Heaven Church, Myerstown. He is survived 
  by a son, Gregory C., husband of Tina M. Scheer of Myerstown; a granddaughter, 
  Jennie Boyer of Jonestown; a grandson, David, husband of Launa Boyer of 
  Jonestown; three greatgranddaughters, Tara, Toccoa, and Grace Boyer, all of 
  Jonestown; and a great-grandson, David Boyer of Jonestown. In addition to his 
  wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Scheer. Funeral Mass on 
  Monday, January 18, at 11 a.m. from Mary Gate of Heaven, 188 W. McKinley Ave., 
  Myerstown. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Viewing hours Monday morning from 
  9 to 11 a.m. in Madonna Hall of the church. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. is in 
  charge of arrangements.
