"PAP" Schott Jr., died unexpectedly on Friday, March 5, 2010, in his residence. He was the husband of the late Dolores M. Boltz Schott, and his current wife, Pat L. Sauger Schott. He was born in Lebanon, on February 21, 1943, son of the late Richard G. Schott, Sr. and the late Betty J. McGarvey Schott. He was a member of the Keystone Gun Club, Camp Strauss Fire Co., and many other organizations. He enjoyed tinkering with his 1951 Ford Truck, carpentry work, hunting, and fishing, and was an avid NASCAR fan. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren and great- grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Wanda Lutz of Jonestown, Gerald Schott, Sr. and wife, Tracey of Jonestown, Brian S. Schott and wife, Susan of Lebanon, Jeffrey B. Schott and wife, Donna of Lebanon, and Teresa, wife of Emial Miller of Lebanon; stepchildren, Marcella, wife of Mike Long of Lebanon, Cindy, wife of Scott Young of Lebanon, James Leahy and wife, Cindy of Myerstown, and Mike Leahy and wife, Crystal of Myerstown; 20 grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren; and sisters, Daisy Enck, Sage SchottReed, and Maryann Combs. He was preceded in death by his sister, Cynthia Ditzler. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, where a viewing will be held on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service. Interment will be made in Grand View Memorial Park, Annville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association , 3544 N. Progress Ave., Suite 101, Harrisburg, PA 17110; or the American Heart Assoc., P.O. Box 1263, Lebanon, PA 17042.
