She was the widow of Malcolm R. Seager who died April 5, 1996. Born in Myerstown, on November 10, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Claude S. and Mary A. (Layser) Houser. She was a 1947 graduate of Myerstown High School. She had been a secretary at Sterling Drug Co., Myerstown from 1969 until her retirement. She was a member of Myerstown UCC, where she sang in the choir for many years. She enjoyed gardening, reading, doing crossword puzzles, and especially being with her family. She is survived by daughters Wanda Joy wife of James Miller of Mt. Gretna, Cynthia Anne Nemec of Myerstown, Kristen Leigh wife of James Goshert of Myerstown; eight grandchildren Christopher I. Miller, Candace N. Miller, Kara D. Miller, Kier P. Miller, Suzanne N. wife of Allen Phillips, Jennifer L. wife of Curtis Staller, Trevor J. Goshert, Zachary A. Goshert; four great-grandchildren, Amaya Phillips, Grace Phillips, Ashlyn Staller, Kenzie Staller; sisters, Grace wife of Russell Brightbill of Myerstown and Sandra wife of Richard Bicksler of Queenstown, Md.; brother, Robert husband of Martha Arnold Houser of Lebanon; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Helen Noll and Marian Patches. A Memorial service will be held Friday at 11:30 a.m. from Myerstown UCC, 306 W. Main Ave., Myerstown. A visitation will follow the service in the social hall of the church. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army Gift Processing Center, P.O. Box 26800, Lehigh Valley, PA 18002-6800; or The Smile Train, P.O. Box 96231, Washington, DC, 20090-6231. Grose Funeral Home, Myerstown is entrusted with the arrangements.
