Ivan Sensenig, 86, formerly of New Holland, died Wednesday evening, April 21, 2010, at Fairmount Homes, where he resided. His wife, Esther W. (Sauder) Sensenig, died in 2005. Born in Salisbury Twp., he was the son of the late Hershey B. and Violet G. (Wanner) Sensenig. He was a member of Pequea Mennonite Church. He had been a farmer and also retired from Favorite Mfg., New Holland, in 1987. He spent many winters in Florida with his wife. Surviving are his children, Anna Mary, married to Myron Weaver of Richland, Edna, married to Alvin Martin, Esther, married to Irvin Garman, and Rebecca, married to Wilmer Brubaker, all of Myerstown, Martha, married to Noah Burkholder of New Holland, Charlotte, married to Harlan Horst of Denver, Mabel, married to Richard Weaver of Annville, Arlene, married to Clifford Nolt of Lititz, Dorothy, married to Harlan Weaver of East Earl, John, married to Elma Fay (Martin) Sensenig, and Hershey, married to Anna Ruth (Hoover) Sensenig, both of Romulus, N.Y., Melvin, married to Marian (Weaver) Sensenig of Newville, Raymond, married to Nancy (Plum) Sensenig of Wyomissing, Glenn Sensenig of New Holland, Irvin, married to Jean (Felpel) Sensenig of Stevens, and Nelson, married to Linda (Eby) Sensenig of Ephrata. He was also blessed with 95 grandchildren and 233 greatgrandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, Mildred, married to David Musser of Ephrata, Gracetta, married to Abram Zimmerman of Myerstown, and Viola, married to John Nolt of Lebanon; and a brother Aaron Sensenig of Ephrata. Preceding him in death were a grandchild; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Paul, David, and Sylvan Sensenig; and six sisters, Anna Mae Garman, Ada Zimmerman, Edna Auker, Martha Sensenig, Elva Horst, and Elsie Sensenig. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 26, at 8:45 a.m. at Fairmount Homes Farm Crest Chapel, with further services at 9:30 a.m. at Pequea Mennonite Church with Bishops Jeremiah Sensenig and Curvin Zimmerman officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. Viewing will be held at Fairmount Homes Farm Crest Chapel on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Kindly omit flowers.
