  Janet B. "Babe" Shaffer 
   
  Janet B. Shaffer LEBANON Janet B. 'Babe' Shaffer, 81, died Tuesday April 6, 
  2010, in Cedar Haven Nursing Home, Lebanon. She was the wife of Harold 
  L. 'Ridgy' Shaffer who died in 1993. Born in Annville on February 23, 1929, she 
  was the daughter of the late George and Carrie Himmelberger Bixler. She was a 
  homemaker and a Granny to many young children. Babe was a 1946 graduate of 
  Annville High School, a member of Christ Church United Church of Christ, 
  Annville where she attended the Stein Bee Sunday School Class and volunteered 
  in the Nursery. She enjoyed playing pinochle and bingo. Surviving seven 
  children, Janie wife of Donald Waybright of Lebanon, Judy Moyer Ganse wife of 
  Jack Ganse of Lancaster, James L. husband of Lori Shaffer of Palmyra, Jackie 
  Frattaroli of Cantonment, FL, Joni Jamison of Annville, Jodi Shaffer of 
  Lebanon, and Juli Staller of Jonestown; a grandson Shannon Reigert, along with 
  15 other grandchildren; nine greatgrandchildren; and a sister, Grace Bachman. A 
  Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. from the 
  Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 E. Main St., Annville. Interment will 
  be held in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Friday 
  from 9 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions 
  may be made to Asera Care Hospice, 315 Primrose Lane, Suite 101, Mountville, PA 
  17554.
