She was the wife of Thomas B. Sharp. They would have celebrated their 40th anniversary on April 18, 2010. She was born in Lebanon County, a daughter of the late Joseph H. and Esther B. Kurtz Martin. A homemaker, she was a member of the White Oak Mennonite Church (Eastern Conference) and had also operated an herbal and vitamin business with her family from their residence. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her daughter, Christa Lynne, wife of Daniel L. Strite of Wellsville; two grandsons, Chester and Keith Strite; four brothers, Floyd, husband of Fay Martin of Montney, British Columbia, Allen, husband of Brenda Martin of Jackson Center, Marlin, husband of Teresa Martin of Strasburg, and David, husband of Lois Martin of Metter, Ga.; four sisters, Gladys, wife of Wilbur Graybill of Centerville, Erma, wife of Wilmer Graybill of McAllisterville, Mary Jane Martin of Richfield, and Jennie Martin of Richfield; sister-in-law, Joyce Hoover, widow of Harvey Martin of Akron; 42 nieces and nephews; and 55 greatnieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Harvey and Willard Martin; and a nephew. A viewing will be held on Sunday, April 18, 2010, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the White Oak Mennonite Church, Newport Road, Manheim. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Monday at the church. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery. Kindly omit flowers. Arrangements by Stradling Funeral Homes, Akron/Ephrata.
