Shenk DUNCANNON Kim Marie (Hosler) Shenk, 49, formerly of Hummelstown, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, November 5, 2010, after a three year battle with colon cancer. Kim was a 30 year employee of Highmark Blue Shield where she was a business analyst. She was a member of the Hope United Methodist Church in Mechanicsburg. She was also on the Board of Trustees for the church and was a member of the West Shoreman Drum and Bugle Corp. She enjoyed camping, cooking wonderful meals, and making arts and crafts. Most of all she enjoyed her granddaughter, Lilly Ann. She was an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, Mimi, and friend, and she touched the lives of everyone she met. Kim will be sadly missed by all. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 27 years, Frederick Shenk; two sons, Geoffrey and Nichole, as well as Bradley and Amy, all of Duncannon; and her granddaughter, Lilly Ann. She is also survived by her parents, Curtis, Sr. and Delores (Fetterhoff) Hosler of Hummelstown; her brothers, Kenneth Hosler, Sr. and his wife, Valarie, and Curtis Hosler, Jr. and his wife, Traci, all of Dillsburg; her in-laws, Mark and Melba Shenk of Annville; her sister-in-law, LuAnn Martin and her husband, Aaron; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Kim was predeceased by her grandparents, Charles and Amelia Fetterhoff, and Joseph and Virgie Hosler. Family and friends are invited to her viewing on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Linglestown Road in Harrisburg. Funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday in the funeral home and her interment will follow at the Blue Ridge Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , P.O. Box 1893, Memphis, TN 38101-9950.
