  PALMYRA Verna M. Sherer, 88, of 1200 Grubb Road, Hosteter House, Palmyra, died 
  on Saturday, September 4, 2010, at Lebanon Valley Brethren Home. She was born 
  on Friday, December 2, 1921, to the late Irwin Schwenk and Mabel Schwenk (nee 
  Bomberger) in Lebanon. She was an active member of Florin Church of the 
  Brethren. She was a graduate of Hershey High School and worked at SICO. She 
  also enjoyed camping. Surviving are daughter, Joanne M. spouse of Gerald Nolt, 
  Lititz; grandchildren, Jodi spouse of Ben Garrison, Jeff spouse of Amy Nolt; 
  great-grandchildren, Andy, Jason, Abigail; sister, Myra E. Ziegler. She was 
  preceded in death by husband, J. Samuel Sherer; infant son Robert Dennis 
  Sherer; sister, Ruth Krall; brother, Howard Schwenk. A celebration of life will 
  be on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Florin Church of the Brethren, 815 Bruce Ave., 
  Mt. Joy. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial 
  contributions may be made to Lebanon Valley Brethren Home, 1200 Grubb Road, 
  Palmyra, PA 17078. Christman's Funeral Home, Inc. is honored to serve the 
  family with the arrangements.
