M. shabodeho@aol.com November 9, 2010, 7:58 pm Published in Lebanon Daily News on November 9, 2010 Elva E. Smith LEBANON Elva E. Smith, (nee Eisenbrey), born in Cheltenham, July 14, 1910. She was a graduate from Phoenixville, H.S. in 1928 and West Chester State Teachers College in 1933. She taught elementary school in Kimberton, in 1933, for five dollars a day with a class of 42 students, she also taught 2nd grade for 25 years at Collegeville, Pa., elementary school retiring in 1975. She was a member and assistant organist at Phoenixville Methodist Church for many years. She and her husband, Willis McClellan (Mack) Smith moved to Cornwall Manor in Lebanon in 1986, Mr. Smith in 1992. They were members of Lebanon Trinity Methodist Church where she also substituted as the organist in addition to substituting at numerous churches in the Lebanon area. She is survived by three children, Gerald McClellan, Donald Vernon, from Baltimore, Md., and Beverly A. from Casco, Maine. In addition there are five grandchildren and four great- grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Thursday at 12 p.m. in Philadelphia Memorial Park 124 Pheonixville Pike, Frazer, PA., 19355. Rohland Funeral Home Inc. Is in Charge of the arrangements.
