  NEW YORK, NY Jay J. Smith, formerly of Lebanon, born July 4, 1940, died 
  Wednesday, October 6, 2010, at the age of 70, after a lengthy battle with 
  cancer. He graduated from Lebanon Senior High and earned a B.S. in Industrial 
  Design at The University of the Arts (then known as the Philadelphia Museum 
  College of Art). He received many awards during his active 25 year career as a 
  freelance graphic designer and photographer in the publishing field. He is the 
  son of the late Joseph and Grace Smith. He is survived by his wife, Katherine; 
  daughter, Wendy; granddaughter, Taylor; grandson, Troy; sister, Linda Gensemer; 
  nephew, Joseph Gensemer; and niece, Deborah Rissmiller.
