King Street, Annville, died Thursday, April 8, 2010, in his residence. He was the husband of Ruth E. Keenan Smith, with whom he would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this coming October. Born in Lebanon on October 28, 1928, he was the son of the late Raymond S., Sr. and Katherine Shetler Smith. He was a principal owner of Smith's Sheet Metal and Hardware, Inc., Annville retiring in 2002. Itch was a U.S. Army veteran of Korea. He was a 1946 graduate of Annville High School, a former member of the Annville Rotary Club, a life long member of Christ Church United Church of Christ, Annville, life member of the Annville Union Hose Fire Co., member of the Annville VFW and American Legion Post 559, Mt. Olivet Lodge #704 F. &A.M., Harrisburg Consistory, Zembo Temple Shrine, Tall Cedars, and the Lebanon County Shrine Club. He was also a long time Annville Youth League Sponsor. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Terry L., husband of Karen Smith of Annville, Garry J., husband of Wendy Smith of Annville; a daughter, Diane, wife of Dale Archuleta of Mt. Joy; a brother, Neil J. Smith of Millsboro, Del.; nine grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren; and a long time employee and friend Robert 'Boop' Wartluft. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lorraine A. Coleman. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. from the Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 E. Main St. Annville. Inurnment will be held in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Masonic services will be held at 9:15 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Christ Church, 200 S. White Oak St., Annville, PA 17003.
